Responsibilities of this role include designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting computer systems and equipment.
Develop, implement, and maintain test process instructions (TPI) for production.
Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
Prepare complex test and diagnostic programs.
High-end server configurations.
Develop overall integration & test strategy and schedule test plans & scripts.
Design test fixtures and equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Install hardware into racks and label/run cables.
Build system to drawing package including loading applications and operating system.
Manage quality assurance.
Review test equipment and capacity.
Understand server technology, including BIOS and RAID firmware.
Modify and extend existing test automation software.
Commitment to continuous improvement to comply with ISO 9001:2000 and any other regulatory standards.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering (or equivalent) and 5+ years of engineering experience
(high-tech manufacturing preferred but not required) to develop, implement and maintain test process instructions (TPI) for production in a fast-paced, team environment.
Proven operational and tactical planning skills with experience working on complex problems where analysis or data requires evaluation and identifiable factors are critical to your success in this role.
Solid background in implementing strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria required and a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment – identification, maintenance and calibration are necessary in performing the duties of this job.
Hands-on experience working in a start-up and/or change management environment implementing a Quality Management System (ISO 9001) within the manufacturing industry highly desirable.
Datacenter technology products (server, storage, networking) with a particular emphasis on x86 dual-socket server motherboards.
Linux, especially Centos or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Kernel compilation and ability to executive benchmark tests.
