Adecco Engineering & Technical has an immediate need for a PeopleSoft Software Programmer. This is a very long contract position (2 or more years). This is a key role for our client.

Position Overview:

This position is located in the Enterprise Applications Support organization within the IT department.
Position Responsibilities include but not limited to Requirements:
Critical skills for this position are:
• Extensive experience using utilizing technical features in PeopleTools release 8.50 or higher
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Portal development and features
• 2-3 years experience designing and developing custom portal pages, work centers using pagelets
• 2-3 years experience defining and configuring workflow and business policies using Application Workflow Engine (AWE)

Position Responsibilities:
• Code, test, configure and maintain various vendor and in-house applications using the software tools provided with the PeopleSoft Version 9.0 or higher package.
• Design and develop custom portal pages, user work centers
• Design and develop custom Web Services which exposes the capabilities of PeopleSoft functions using WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI.
• Troubleshoot workflow and integration issues between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
• Design and develop custom workflow notification and approval functions.
• Design, develop and maintain integration routines between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
• Provide technical support in production environments. This includes troubleshooting reported issues and system architectures to include data management, network management, and overall client architectures as it relates to the PeopleSoft environments.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and propose implementation approaches.
• Develop requirement documents, configuration documents, design documents, technical specification documents, knowledge transfer & training documents.
• Research new and emerging technologies to determine their applicability to application development and maintenance, and in support of the needs of operations. Give demonstrations of emerging technologies to acquaint the client’s staff with capabilities and applicability to the client’s PeopleSoft application suites.

Position Requirements:
• Undergraduate College Degree – Computer Technology or related field
• 10+ years of experience in Computer Technology or related field
• Technical PeopleSoft skills with extensive experience in utilizing technical features in PeopleTools release 8.50 or higher.
• Knowledgeable of PeopleSoft Portal development and features.
• Knowledgeable of PeopleSoft applications 9.0 or higher is a plus.
Skill Requirements
Knowledge of and skill in applying:
• Proficient hands-on experience using PeopleTool 8.50 or higher
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.0 applications or higher
• Working experience designing and developing custom portal pages, work centers using pagelets
• Working experience defining and configuring workflow and business policies using Application Workflow Engine (AWE)
• Design and develop custom Web Services which exposes the capabilities of PeopleSoft functions using WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI.
• Working experience developing custom web services between PeopleSoft applicants and third party .NET application
• Working experience using PeopleCode Application packages
• Strong PeopleSoft reporting skills with XML Publisher
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Security
• Working experience gathering and analyzing user requirements, performing fit/gap analysis, and developing prototypes
• Ability to understand a client’s business quickly and translate that understanding into a well-designed IT solution
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills. Should be able to provide accurate problem analysis to the client and follow up with documentation

Eligibility Requirements:

This is a very long-term (2 + year) contract role with one of our premier client’s located in the Portland, Oregon.
Local / Regional Washington, Oregon Candidates highly preferred or candidates located in the Western United States.
This position includes 10 paid federal holidays each year and an additional 10 PTO days after the first year
No Relocation or interview expenses.
