Service Technician (Television)

Description:
Seeking a candidate in the electronics services profession to troubleshoot and resolve issues with televisions and signal transmission (RF). This is a challenging position working with some of the latest television equipment and technologies.

Requirements:

Must be detail oriented, reliable, efficient, present a professional appearance and have exceptional customer service aptitude
Must have experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of televisions and audio systems
Have 3-5 years technical maintenance or service support experience in cable and/ or satellite delivered audio/video signals and evaluation of existing plant capabilities to provide reliable analog and digital services (5-878 MHz)
Have used digital cable analyzers to test and troubleshoot digital and analog cable systems including Analog Channels, Signal Levels, Carrier to Noise Testing, Digital Channels, MER, Post and Pre BER, Digital Signal Levels
Have experience with digital video encryption and compression (ProIdiom, MPEG2/MPEG4)
Professional experience must include a strong background in troubleshooting and analyzing relationships between the television and components within the distribution system
Must have a laptop computer with MS Excel, email account, cell phone and reliable transportation
Must be proficient in data collection, able to work independently or within a team and have exceptional follow through
