Adecco Engineering & Technical is seeking a Database Developer. This position is a Direct Hire opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing company. The DBA Systems Administrator role is at the technical hub of our client’s technology-based business operations and provides significant opportunity for the right professional to play a pivotal role in the operation of their core product delivery system. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing the client’s analytical databases as well as their production databases and cloud-based support systems.

The successful candidate will:

Monitor database security, activity and help optimize performance
Monitor system security, activity and optimize performance
Monitor network security, activity and optimize performance
Coordinate and perform application, database and SSIS code promotion to production
Collaborate with Software Developers to improve the integration between the user interfaces and the underlying data layer
Collaborate with Data Analysts to ensure data integrity, enhance querying capabilities and increase system functionality

Position Requirements
Experience

3+ years of experience in creating, managing, and developing SQL Server 2008 databases larger than 500 GB in size
Systems administration experience in both development and production environments with two or more multi-processor Windows Servers (2003+)
In-depth experience in back-up and recovery operations of Windows and database (SQL Server) servers
Experience in scheduling, monitoring and troubleshooting SSIS based ETL processes
Plus: Experience in setting up, configuring and managing highly secure windows networks (LAN, Firewall, VPN)
Plus: Experience in writing complex SQL queries
Plus: Experience in working with servers hosted in the cloud (preferably Amazon AWS/others)
Plus: Expertise in internet technologies and the operations of a commercial website to market SaaS-based product
Plus: Experience working with technology products designed to enhance performance or fuel data-driven analytics
Plus: Experience working with global business and technology teams.
