Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Business Systems Analyst with a leading company in Naperville, Illinois.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
Analyze data to troubleshoot process problems and drive process improvement within and across departments.
Discuss program or change requirements with users and other analysts. Define functional requirements including requests for new reports, or systems enhancements.
Write functional and technical design specifications for larger enhancements, or list of functional requirements.
Develop process flow charts, report layouts, and conceptual database design. May prepare estimates of time, or resource requirements.
Create test plans and applications, and work with technical team and users to resolve identified problems.
Write documentation, prepare help screens for users, operations, and future program maintenance. Advise users on system use.
Identify process and system issues by developing alternative solutions and make recommendations for final resolution.
Respond to production problems or user calls. Determine cause of the problem, resolve, or obtain necessary help in resolving problem. Instruct users or operations in problem resolution.
Develop SQL and Access queries to manipulate and analyze large datasets for trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
Data extraction, creation, and manipulation of multiple files and/or databases including reporting for projects.
Detailed understanding of inventory management business processes and the applications systems that are supported including Business Objects and Manugistics demand planning, and SAP Materials Management or similar systems
