Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Sr. Java Developer on a 3 month contract opportunity with a leading company in Wichita, KS. It is anticipated that most work can be done locally where developer resides, but developer will be required to travel to Wichita as needed to provide team leadership and ensure project success. Developer may also be required to travel to Kansas City as needed to meet with the business users.
Experience:
7+ years in Java design, development and unit testing
Taking abstract business requirements and creating an appropriate and maintainable technical design for moderately complex new business applications
Creating user-friendly graphical front-ends
Designing and developing relational databases to support business applications
Synchronization of separate databases (a plus but not mandatory)
Managing source code using version control software
Delegating and oversight of work to other less experienced developers
Technical Skills:
JDK 1.5 or 1.6
Swing
SQL/JDBC
MySQL or other open-source database design and implementation
Spring Framework 2.X or greater
SVN, SCCS or some other source code control tool
