Summary
We have a full-time, intermediate to advanced-level software engineer position open in the Information Services Department. The software engineer’s role is to consider organizational software architecture and maintain organizational database systems. The software engineer will design, develop, execute, assess and troubleshoot software programs and applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. The software engineer will also oversee system startups in a timely and accurate fashion and provide support to other departments where required. The candidate who fills this position will work with a wide variety of internal and external customers, gaining exposure to many different industries by working with teams that have multiple requirements. This position will focus on a variety of new projects, allowing for creativity, collaboration, challenge and stability.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher from a college or university in software engineering, computer science or computer information systems. The candidate must have a minimum of three years proven success developing in a C#.NET environment. Additional years of proven experience may substitute for a college degree. Intermediate to advanced-level experience is required with object oriented design and UML, C#.NET programming, database design and Transact-SQL programming, ASP.NET 2.0 or above programming and Visual Studio.NET 2005 or above. Strong attention to detail, with ability to quickly learn existing business processes, ability to diagnose and resolve complicated underlying system problems and ability to understand complex n-tier software environments are essential to the position.
