Immediate Need of 2 Program Management Coordinator's for an Aviation Client in the Yakima Area.


Duration: 6 months plus
Pay : $28/hr on W2

Position Title
Program Management Coordinator

Position Description
This position has the responsibility and authority for day-to-day tactical management of assigned programs.
Key focus areas are order entry, order tracking, customer line of balance tracking, product line returns, MRP system entry, and shop floor interaction. This position will work with Program Managers, Supply Chain, Operations, Fulfillment, Process Control, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure the continuous flow of product.
The Assistant PM position will foster a culture of accountability, continuous product and process improvement within the manufacturing base as well as partnering with key stakeholders in R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and Supply Chain teams to reach business objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Enters customer orders into MRP system
Tracks product through production cycle to ensure schedule is on time
Maintains customer line of balance on products to ensure product schedule is on track
Coordinate timely turn around on Product Line Returns (PLR)
Key focal point for customer order entry
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of external customers
Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvement in the overall manufacturing process.
Works closely with Quality to monitor and correct manufacturing issues to ship product.
Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships internally and partnerships externally while gaining their trust and respect.
Develop and drive opportunities to eliminate waste from the overall process
Supports continuous improvements through participating in rapid improvement / Kaizen events, supplier quality audits, training and certification.
Actively monitor product quality and supply risks as well as sub tier supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to address business and/or quality risk

Basic Qualifications

0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a primary function (process control, fulfillment, expedite, planning, operations, etc.)
4 year bachelor’s degree or 2 year technical degree
Familiar with machine shop manufacturing environment
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project programs
Strong communication and skills, both written and oral
Strong PC skills with the ability to learn and adapt to various software platforms
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be self-motivated and have proven influencing skills with the ability work with and motivate others

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, etc)
5-10 years of experience in an aerospace aviation metallic parts machine shop manufacturing environment
Familiar with FAA and aviation rules and regulations
Familiar with aerospace and defense contract language and rules
Working knowledge and experience in product transfers, new product introduction, scorecard development and metrics, contract negotiations and lifecycle management
Working knowledge of MRP systems, manufacturing processes and understanding of design and quality requirements as they relate to manufacturing components and assemblies.
Possess the ability to resolve complex supply chain issues
Demonstrated project management skills through certification (PMP)
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean and DMAIC
Be able to develop metrics for performance and conduct business reviews.
Research and understand the relevant markets and cost drivers as well as recommend strategies to improve processes throughout the supply chain (long term volume supply agreements and price points, supplier managed inventory (SMI) plans, lead time reduction and quality improvements)
Prepare and present make vs. buy business case analysis of external manufacturing
Possesses and utilizes sound negotiation and value analysis skills to reduce overall costs.
Overall lead of product transfer activities to a contract manufacturer from internal and/or external sources
Maintains and promotes relationships with contract manufacturers and business partners
Develop a strategic plan for contract manufacturing to minimize total lifecycle cost
Leads and supports lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives internally.
