Embedded Software Engineer
Shelton, CT.

Requirements:

Education - BSCE / BSEE / BSME
5 years working experience with 8 and 16 bit microcontrollers, hardware/software integration, C and assembly languages, writing driver-level software
Ability to produce standardized code with documentation
Experience with some type of serial bus protocol such as CAN Open and/or J1939
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be fluent in C and/or Assembler
Familiarity with Forth a plus
Good time and priority management of multiple assignments
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools
Prior experience with a version control system a plus
Exposure to Linux a plus

Duties:

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software applications for displays, controls, and systems for mobile machinery
Ensures that manufacturing, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
Supports, installs and debugs software applications in Control Hardware
Supports, installs and debugs software applications in field situations with mobile machinery
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
