Scrum Master - Groton, CT
Adecco Technical has an immediate need for a Scrum Master on a permanent basis with a leading solutions provider in Groton, CT

This division of our client leads all aspects of the Agile process including building roadmaps and planning sprints, leading meetings including daily scrums, supporting backlog management, tracking team progress and ownership of Team Metrics. Also facilitates Team interactions and coaches Team Leads and Team Members to create a supportive environment for development. Is the SME in the use of Agile Tools (Greenhopper) and insures consistent use. Gathers and applies information from other Agile Teams and applies learnings from other Teams to optimize Team Performance. Provides ongoing status reports; Ensures on time and quality deliverables; Meets deadlines and manages internal and external partner and customer expectations.

Primary Duties


Facilitation: Facilitates Agile Team Process. Conducts all Agile Meetings/Ceremonies including Daily Scrums. Works to promptly remove any obstacles to project progress.
Planning: Collaborates with Product Owners and other Team Leads in Agile planning activities. Leads Roadmap, Sprint Planning, Story Grooming and Story Planning meetings. Develops Agile documentation and distributes as required.
Progress Tracking: Works with project managers and other role leads to develop and track project plans and progress from inception to delivery to ensure requirements are delivered as scheduled. Issues status reports and keeps Stakeholders apprised of issues and risks in a timely manner.
Metrics: Generates and communicates Agile Metrics. Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress.
Continuous Improvement: Analyzes project data and Agile metrics. Collaborates with other Scrum Masters. Uses data and knowledge gained to make recommendations for process improvements.
Coaching: Mentors Team Members and provides guidance in Agile processes and Team interactions.

Job Requirements


Education: Bachelors Degree preferably Management Information Systems, computer science, business management or related field.
Experience: 5-7 yrs at least 3 years in supporting Team Activities. Scrum Master certification a plus.
Experience in facilitating, motivating and optimizing the performance of Agile software development teams.
Proven ability to work with business units and understand business needs.
Ability to drive for results in a fast paced and dynamic development environment.
Good Team and Interpersonal Skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Strong Team Player.
Good analytical, decision making and problem resolution skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Knowledge of Jira /Greenhopper a plus.
