An ATG Support Specialist job in Raleigh, North Carolina is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technical. In this critical position, you must be able to respond to any and all operational issues and take appropriate action to restore systems to normal operation in a minimum amount of time while communicating status updates to all appropriate individuals, and leadership groups
The ATG Support Specialist job responsibilities include:
Facilitates or performs application support, problem solving, and issue resolution with internal and external resources.
Resolves issues and determines options for issue resolution.
Perform day-to-day tasks to ensure systems are up and running.
Analyze, implement and monitor bug fixes, patches, etc.
Solid hands-on technical understanding and grasp of various systems within eCommerce solutions.
Perform code reviews, suggest areas of optimization, and coordinate performance tuning.
Work with key business users to research and identify the best technical solutions that support the most efficient business processes
Accept ownership of system issues through triage and resolution.
Optimize applications to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security.
Provide training and guidance to other team members within the ATG team.
Maintain and support the various development environments.
Owner of Problem Management Process
Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and drive change within organization
Facilitate and lead critical incidents across IT product suite
Lead, develop, and implement operational process improvements.
Available 24X7 and empowered to engage Business and IT to resolve critical issues
Specific qualifications include:
1-2 years of ATG Commerce development experience and a strong understanding of JAVA, J2EE, JSP, AJAX, XML, XSLT, CSS, and other UI technologies
2-3 years of experience with Oracle DB and SQL
ATG CSC and BCC experience preferred
Experience with Application Servers (JBoss preferred)
High level understanding of Unix environment such as HP UX or Solaris
Basic knowledge of E-Commerce, Order Entry and Financial concepts
Experience working within established System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Excellent analytical and design skills; ability to analyze and solve technical problems
Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to educate technical and non-technical teams on issues, tasks, and cause/effect
