Job Description:
The Documentation Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of a wide range of editorial and/or technical writing projects for external and internal audiences. Plans, develops, implements and edits writing projects such as user manuals, installation manuals, training manuals, ''help'' documents and tutorials. Works with management to establish writing goals, strategies, and plans. Counsels internal clients on editorial matters. Accurately and efficiently documents standard operating procedures that will then be incorporated in training tools/systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Provides input to management to develop writing goals, strategies and plans to fully document all business processes and operating procedures.
*Plans, schedules, researches, edits and writes documentation projects.
*Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents. *Designs and/or coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents.
*Manages project based writing projects while ensuring quality and on time deliverables.
*Researches available technical data including drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications.
*Regularly works with a wide range of personnel such as product managers, branch personnel, engineers and other technical personnel to clarify document contents.
Education:
Generally requires BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience:
*Minimum two years of related business experience.
*Preferred working knowledge of organization product line(s), customer requirements, purpose and structure of document, and user’s level of understanding.
*Project management skills and experience preferred.
*Microsoft Office experience required.
*Able to interpret and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
*Strong written communication skills and oral communication skills required, with experience communicating at all levels within an organization.
*Organizational skills and ability to layout information logically.
*REO and/or Bankruptcy/Foreclosure experience preferred.
