We are searching for a Medical Laboratory Technician (NAT) on a contract to hire opportunity with a leading health care company in New Orleans, Louisiana 70112

Applicants should have experience with the below instrumentation:
Centrifuge, Tecan Genesis 150/8 pipetters, Procleix Luminometer HC+, circulating water baths, multi-tube vortexers, Eppendorf Repeater Pro Pipettes, biological hoods, Windows, MS Office, Surround, IntilliLab, NAT-Tracker and Safetrace computer systems.

Education Requirements:

Associates degree in medical laboratory technology or an Associates degree in science with certification as an Medical Laboratory Technician

Required Licensure:

MLT(ASCP), LA CLS-G license or specialty license

Job Description:

-Triage and centrifuge NAT - Triage and centrifuge 800 specimen samples within a three hour period.
-Perform pooling of specimens - Produce 50 specimen pools within a six hour period with 100% accuracy
-Perform Procelis Assay -Perform the entire 2-Rack Procelix procedure (WNV or HIV-1/HCV) with 176 donors and 24 calibrators and controls within a seven hour period with 100% accuracy.

Experience: Medical Laboratory Technician experience in clinical chemistry, immunology or molecular testing
