We are searching for a NAT Medical Technologist on contract to hire opportunity with a leading health care company in New Orleans, Louisiana 70112

Applicants should have experience with the below instrumentation:

Required Equipment/Instrumentation:
centrifuge, Tecan Genesis 150/8 pipetters, Procleix Luminometer HC+, Circulating Water Baths, Mulit-Tube Vortexers, Eppendorf Repeater Pro Pipettes, biological hoods, Windows, MS Office, Surround, IntelliLab, NAT-Tracker, and SafeTrace computer systems.

Education Requirements:
- BS degree in medical technology or BS in Science with MT certification

Required Licensure:
- Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Blood Banking (ASCP), State of Louisiana CLS-G license

Job Description:
- Triage and centrifuge 800 NAT specimen samples within a three hour period
- Perform pooling of specimens - Produce 50 specimen pools within a 6 hour period with 100% accuracy.
- Perform Procleix Assay - Perform the entire 2-Rack Procleix prodedure (WNV or HIV-1/HCV) with 176 donors and 24 Calibrators and Controls within a 7 hour period with 100% accuracy

Experience: Medical Technology experience in blood banking, clinical chemistry, immunology or molecular testing.
