Medical Billing/Coding Provider Service Representative Position in Jackson, Mississippi
Adecco Medical & Science is seeking an individual for a permanent position. Purpose of this position is for resolving provider & customer inquiries via telephone and written correspondence in a timely & appropriate manner.
Responsibilities include: documenting all calls for reporting & resolution through phone log system, answer inquiries from providers regarding claim, eligibility, covered benefits and authorization status issues. "Own" the issue through resolution with appropriate internal resources, follow-up and ensure closure with contact who initiated the inquiry. Respond appropriately to providers issues & concerns, then give feedback to management. Initiate or fax necessary forms to provider to release pending claims. Follow-up on weekly MACESS report to make sure that customer service forms have been resolved timely & accurately. Apply appropriate Medicare & Medicaid rules & regulations when assisting providers with claim issues, ensuring claims sent back for reprocessing are adjudicated correctly, bringing closure to the issue. Promote health plan initiatives during interactions with providers via telephone.

Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid managed care
Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare or insurance customer service required
Associates in Billing and/or Coding experience preferred
