An established company HQ in PA is a leader in manufacturing and distribution of equipment is looking for you!
Due to growth of their distribution business unit, this company is looking to add a Territory Sales Manager for their DE, MD, VA market. This person will work remotely within the territory. The primary role of this position will be to represent the company’s portfolio of industry leading equipment products to dealers, end users, and accounts in the assigned territory. This person will focus on large, heavy equipment accounts specifically.
The goal for this position is to retain and grow these current customers along with gaining new accounts in new markets within this territory. The Territory Sales Manager monitors growth, enhance profitability, and increase customer satisfaction.
Qualified candidates must possess an established record of heavy equipment sales experience that have larger volume of business; and demonstrate ability to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
The Territory Sales Manager reports to the Regional Sales Manager located at HQ (PA).
Within the Manager’s Regional area, he/she will be responsible for creating and managing their Business Plan to establish clear and measurable growth goals for each account and to create a roadmap to meet or exceed sales and profit objectives.
Add new customers to the group portfolio in current and new market areas.
Cultivate sales opportunities within the region to generate profitable growth.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape, including product offerings, locations, marketing messages, services, etc. and communicate competitive, market and other appropriate information on a timely basis to the Regional Sales Manager.
Generate ideas to improve internal and external processes to achieve higher performance in safety, quality, delivery, or cost for internal resources or the external customer.
Balance customer requests versus internal capabilities to ensure that unreasonable expectations for cost, lead-time, etc. are not promised to the customer
Assist with service and warranty compliance after the sale.
Attend trade shows as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
3+ years of outside sales experience
Strong equipment sales background; successfully building relationships with end users specifically in heavy equipment and larger volume accounts.
Strong technical knowledge.
Capable to talk to customers with the industry knowledge and ability to learn and retain product specific information to advise customers on product selections and requirements
Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage an outside territory with little supervision
Self motivated individual who must be able to work independently and effectively manage daily plans.
Computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook PowerPoint, and SalesForce
Able to demonstrate the ability to manage an outside territory with little supervision
Committed to traveling by car throughout the region daily, along with limited air travel.
Base Salary + Competitive Commission structure
