We're currently recruiting for a strong Senior HR Generalist for our client's facility in the Burlington, NC area. This is a staff level position, working hand in hand with executive management on a daily basis.
Description
Provide Human Resources direction support and counsel to the Site Management and total employee population in a medium sized (700 FTEs) office and manufacturing environment.
Focus on managing HR Administration, Cafeteria services, Community Relations, Employee Relations, Employment Health and Safety, Salary Administration, Security, and Training and Development.
Work to promote a positive and motivating work environment.
Provide information to staff of salaried employees on relevant matters including business objectives, company policies and proceedures. Initiate, analyze and make decisions to meet Corporate division and site policy. Familiar with local and federal laws and regulations set by government actions, customs and /or precedent.
Supervise Safety Coordination to provide a safe work environment for employees ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Monitor safety and worker's compensation costs and process for improvement.
Establish HR Calendar (PMP, HRD, wages, employee recognition, quarterly meetings etc.)
Counsel management and employees on work related problems.
Ongoing responsibility for formulation, interpretation, and application of rules, policies, and procedures to management and employees. Maintain a high level of morale and non-union environment through positive relations and activities.
Establish and maintain effective job posting and recruiting processes.
Establish planning processes to develop employees (HRD planning)
Monitor local wage and benefit surveys. Evaluate NC wage structure and recomment changes as necessary.
Develop and maintain job description book.
Supervise the assessment and coordination of training needs for employees through HRD planning, PMP, seminars, core skills, ICE etc. Manager HR Admin/ PDS/ Personnel Records Maintenance.
Must have ten plus years HR Generalist experience within a high speed/high volume manufacturing setting. Bachelors degree in HR or related.
