Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Transit Technician on a contract opportunity with a leading company in the transit industry servicing the Las Vegas public.


Primary Role & Responsibilities:

Technicians will be responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of the Las Vegas Monorail System.

May be asked to perform corrective and preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and adjustments to all systems, subsystems and components of an electronic, mechanical, electro/mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic nature. Safety being an integral part of this operation, Technicians will be required to report all Safety matter to Shift Lead or Supervisor.

Purpose of Position:

Complete job assignments – as provided by the Shift Lead, Supervisor, or Management – in a safe and cognitive manner.
Operate train, doors, switches, train control and power distribution systems in manual mode.
Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems inspection following established procedures or other writer or verbal instructions.
Repair or replace defective parts or equipment utilizing manuals, drawings, specs and other written or verbal instructions.
Ability to respond to system failures – recover transit vehicles and restore system operation.
Respond to and provide customer service to the riding public as required.

Requirements & Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
2 years electrical/mechanical experience or equivalent technical school training.
Works variable hours and shifts.
Valid Nevada Driver’s License.
A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
Excellent work habits (attendance, aptitude, and attitude)
Disciplined, self-starter, ability to handle down time and high stress.
