This challenging role requires a high caliber project contracts and procurement professional with proven experience in developing contracting strategies for high dollar, complex nuclear project assignments.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serves as project manager leading cross-functional teams through the process to plan, source, negotiate, and contract for goods and services.
Works with the highest levels of supplier management through the negotiation and approval process of assigned contracts.
Integrates contracting activities into the overall project plan in a project environment.
Develops creative solutions to address complex contracting issues.
Works closely with the legal department to develop and negotiate terms and conditions for labor, major equipment, and services contracts.
Requires minimal supervision and independently initiates actions to accomplish business objectives.
Functions as the supplier/business partner interface to manage daily contract management issues.
Performs financial analysis of submitted bids and Total Cost of Ownership analysis of alternative options to complete the cost-benefit analysis of Request for Proposal responses.
Assists in the development of policies, procedures, and business practices to improve organizational efficiency and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory guidance.
Proactively develops new and innovative strategies to accomplish cost effective supply chain objectives.
Education/Certifications:
B.S. degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Management, or related field
MBA or similar advanced degree is highly desirable
CPM, CPSM, or Project Management Experience- A PLUS
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Negotiation of complex, high dollar contracts
• Experience with labor contracts (union and non-union), major equipment purchases, engineering contracts, and construction services.
• Experienced team leader and facilitator with proven ability to lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives
• Proficient on PC applications (MS Office Suite)
