Logistics Coordinator – Burlington, MA

Our client is a privately held international company with multiple locations across the globe. They have been in business for more than 40 years and are a leader within their manufacturing industry.
This position monitors all inbound / outbound logistics activities, including compliance with US Customs import / export tariff coding and related documentation. In addition, this position transacts physical and systemic inventory receipts and dispatches to / from assigned domestic inventory locations as directed by system workflows, and reviews same to ensure timely completion.
The individual will work with the department manager and other team members to establish, monitor, and maintain related policies. They will also works closely with both the
customer service and service departments to resolve any discrepancies.
This position will be responsible for developing inventory physical / cycle counting schedules, performing / coordinating their timely completion and reconciling results to both company and third party warehouse perpetual records. They will be involved with the selection and review of third-party inventory warehouse providers. This position will report to the VP of Operations.
Monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring compliance with US Customs import / export tariff coding and related documentation.
Transact physical and systemic inventory receipts and dispatches to / from assigned domestic inventory locations as directed by system workflows. Own workflows and review same per schedule to ensure timely transaction completion.
Recommend / establish, monitor, and maintain related policies.
Develop inventory physical / cycle counting schedules, perform / coordinate their timely completion and reconcile results to both company and third-party warehouse perpetual records.
Identify and maintain report on “at risk” inventory. Work to further develop mechanisms to drive down “at-risk” inventory.
Provide critical ordering responsibilities for multiple customer inventories to ensure customer ‘min-max’ levels for general sales stock inventories are met.
Involvement with the selection and operational review of third-party inventory warehouse providers.
Ensure proper resolution to shipping damages.
Provide support / backup for assigned I/T-related activities including hardware / software, and mobile technologies.
College Degree is preferred
5+ years of related experience
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to function independently and prioritize competing responsibilities
Computer application skills – proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications, as well as ERP applications
Ability to follow directions and learn more about hardware and system software builds
