For our client, a fashion retail giant, we identified a need to create a new career opportunity by offering forklift operator training. Most of our onsite associates were working as order processors, so creating a pathway for them to pursue a more highly paid and skilled position gave us a useful tool to improve candidate attraction and retention. Tapping into the Aspire Academy, we were able to provide them with free classes to upskill and get forklift certified.

Associates first needed to meet attendance and performance goals to qualify for this pathway to promotion. Over a year, 24 associates went through our forklift training in small classes. Twelve associates still remain in forklift operator roles on site, while 8 were converted to the client and moved to their payroll.
