Helping Our Client with a Sticky Direct Hire Situation

Our client is an industry leader in adhesive and packaging products. From the do-it-yourselfer to the professional contractor, our client’s products can tame any project.

Case Studies

Our client needed a partner to create a solution for their direct hire needs that would stick.

When it came to filling their direct hire positions, our client found themselves in a sticky situation. Even with a great reputation in the community, our client was having difficulty filling their direct hire positions due to a small HR team that didn’t have the recruiting resources to handle their peak season volume.

They also needed help tapping into the employed population of skilled workers across their geographic footprint. Having already established a bond through servicing as their onsite vendor, they knew we could tackle their high-volume direct hire needs.

We built a direct hire solution our client could stick to.

We had a dedicated direct hire recruiter who was responsible for sourcing, interviewing, scheduling and onboarding our client’s temporary associates. By leveraging our client’s reputation to generate more interest from the community with radio ads, job board postings and co-branded recruiting materials, job seekers knew our client was looking to hire through Adecco.

Weekly meetings were held to address fulfillment needs, provide updates on interviews and discuss prospects and candidates with their HR team. The relationships we developed with our client’s team made a huge difference in our ability to coordinate interviews and give job offers to candidates quickly.

  • Within three weeks we were scheduling and hiring associates for production, machine operators, logistics and forklift drivers. The process we developed enabled managers to offer or pass on candidates within 24 hours of an interview
  • Three months after we launched our program, the hiring situation became more viscous as we were able to place 54 direct hire associates for the client and convert 39 temporary associates, increasing their mix of contingent labor vs. permanent labor
  • Due to our quick implementation and quantitative results, our client is back to running at peak performance; manufacturing their products to ensure the do-it-yourselfer and professional contractor don’t come unglued

Sometimes even adhesive companies need help making a solution stick.
