Job description:

  • Designs flyers, dealer and national advertising, quarterly promo sheets, coupons, price catalogs, dental show posters and invitations, and other projects as requested, and ensure that projects are fulfilled and delivered according to project timelines.
  • Responsible for creating and updating DFUs, labeling, and packaging per the Change Request Process. Assigns all artwork with ad control numbers and keeps logs of ad control numbers electronically for backup. Manages in house graphic design projects and facilitates outsourcing of work with vendors as needed. Works with key stakeholders to prioritize graphic design projects and tasks.
  • Adheres to graphic specifications from dealers, printers and other vendors for the creation and mechanical output of various projects.
  • Communicates with vendors, dealers and trade publications on marketing communications and advertising projects.
  • Gathers and compares quotes when working with vendors to ensure thorough decision making. Establishes and maintains project folders, including time and cost estimates, and coordinates project traffic.
  • Maintains, manages, and archives all marketing literature and images.
  • Maintains and manages file sharing software, such as divisional SharePoint and FTP sites.
  • Works with Product Managers to coordinate and manage product photoshoots. Updates the Professional Division product shots for use on the website, marketing literature, labeling.
  • Creates logos and letterhead for brands, products, committees, DENTSPLY teams, launch manuals, clinical programs, etc. Responsible for developing new graphic design processes and SOPs to adapt to divisional changes and improve efficiency.
  •  Uses digital camera as needed for projects. Makes duplicate copies of CDs. May provide leadership and guidance to other graphic design resources.
  •  May manage and oversee projects of other graphic design resources.
  • May prioritize and delegate work to resources within the graphic design department.

RELATED DUTIES: Provides reports and work updates as requested. Writes copy when required. Delivers and pickups projects from vendors when necessary.
Pay rate is between $15 to $17hr depending on experience 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training and Experience Associates degree or higher in computer graphic design or related field.

Experience in the use of PC and MAC platforms. Sound knowledge of the Macintosh software and hardware. Two to Five years of practical experience in computer design/layout/mechanical output. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Demonstrated practical knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photo Shop, GoLive, Quark Xpress, MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word. Understanding of the printing process, equipment, paper, and terminology. Good written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and appreciation of deadlines. Ability to prioritize projects. Demonstrates creativity and initiative to lead projects and gather information. Ability to work independently, as well as within a team. Basic HTML and CSS knowledge (not necessary but a nice to have) Basic video editing experience (not necessary but a nice to have)                         EOE
