Utilizes a variety of hand / power tools to perform advanced assembly operations of complex assemblies in accordance with quality / quantity standards

trains employees in basic & complex assembly operations.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Follows Specification of inspections as noted.

Checks and tests production to insure assembled output meets requirements per AQL standards.

Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other measuring tools.

Participation in Lean activities/trainings and active use of Lean tools in daily operations to include SQDCC, Hr. X Hr. Charts and Lean Engagement programs, 5S and other programs as directed.

Informs the Team Leader of any operating / material / parts condition that would interfere with quality / quantity production, and takes / coordinates approved actions to resolve the problem(s). 

Performs operator maintenance & operational checks on all departmental tools & equipment.

The Assembler-I segregates and periodically disposes of scrap / recycled material into approved collection containers.

Education & Work Experience:

Ability to read & write (High School or equivalent) needed to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.

One year experience in performing complex assembly operations preferred.
