1st shift Machine Operator

Machine Operator

Shifts; 6am to 2pm or 4am to 2pm.

Pay: $18-20/hr. 


- Must be able to read and write legibly. Have high and accurate math skills. Be able to work from specifications. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments including Gamma thickness gage, micrometers, and calipers. Understand customers packaging requirements and assess product quality.

Must have Slitter experience, and experience working with metals

- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machines to perform diversified operations on varying materials. Usually close tolerance work requiring a high degree of skill. Machine types include slitters, cut-to-length line, shear and edgers. Work usually consists of critical requirements as to tolerance and finish.
- Select speeds and feeds, determine operational sequences, and tooling arrangements.
- Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
- May set up machines for operation by others.
- Train operator trainees.
- Perform any other miscellaneous duties assigned by shift supervisor.
