Production Supervisor Job Description
$60K - $75K + Benefits

Our client has been a pioneer within their industry; having been in business for more than 100 years. Currently they have an immediate opening at their Rochester, NH facility for someone with manufacturing supervisory experience. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the safety, quality and delivery of their production lines.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for evaluating, developing, documenting and continuously improving manufacturing processes. They will work alongside other Production Supervisors, supervise a team of 40 people and report directly to the Plant Manager.

This is a first shift (6:30am – 3pm), Monday – Friday operation.

Responsibilities:

Continually seek ways to keep employees safe and help achieve the goal of zero reportable accidents in the facility.
Responsible for the supervision, training, support, and discipline of employees.
Responsible for meeting the safety, quality, and on time delivery goals as set by the company.
Responsible for the management and accuracy of job orders. This includes the accurate reporting of labor and materials as well as maintaining accurate job dates and status.
Maintain a work environment that meets ISO requirements and meets a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Must be able to schedule and manage work flow in a way that will achieve maximum efficiency, reduce WIP and minimize over time.
Responsible for developing and implementing measures to continuously improve production methods, equipment performance and the quality of our product.
Organize and facilitate daily management meetings with support functions and team members
Work closely with cross-functional teams on internal and external corrective actions.


Qualifications:

Direct working experience with manual manufacturing processes (Manual Machining experience preferred)
Must be results oriented and demonstrate a high level of organization and follow through.
Must exhibit a willingness to try new things while staying focused on goals and continuous improvements.
Must be able to effectively direct and motivate team members in a diverse manufacturing environment.
Must be able to work effectively with all departments throughout the organization.
Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and ERP experience.
Must be able to work independently, have good time management skills and demonstrate initiative.
Must have good math skills and the ability analyze data.
Ability to read, evaluate and respond to product specifications, blueprints and drawings preferred.
