Adecco Employment Services is currently recruiting for 3rd shift Inspectors to work in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

SUMMARY:

Visually inspects materials and products such as adhesive coated printed products made from paper, foil, film, tyvek, etc., for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties:

*Examines material or product for surface defects such as smudges or incorrect printing (letter, graphics or color matching), by following all established SOP's, work instructions and policies.

*Complete necessary paperwork, such as tags, stickers, etc., which are requested by the customer for the identification of the packages of products.

*Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.

*Rejects defective labels, lids, sheets, covers, etc., and notifies process manager of defects.

*Keeps accurate time and production records and properly completes job cards.

*Performs all necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating area.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
