Job summary:
Summary: Responsible for coordinating the monthly plant financial closing through the preparation of the General Ledger, verification and release of financial statements, determination of capital versus expense and recording and maintaining plant property records in accordance with Accounting and local country guidelines. Education/Experience: 2 years of college or equivalent experience in Accounting. Five to seven years of relevant experience. General Ledger experience – Preferred. Skills and Competencies: Must be able to demonstrate excellent initiative, communication, analysis, and teamwork skills. Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, computer skills and the ability to work with management at all levels. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinating month-end closing, Preparation of Journal Entries and Financial Statements, Verifying the accuracy of Financial Reports, and Determining Capital versus Expense.

Candidate is responsible for supporting the Global Paving Engineering team. Financial analysis on monthly spending, ensuring proper funding is in place for project spending, project financial analysis, monthly financial reporting for Engineering management, annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting, some general ledger accounting, and special projects as needed.

Working with the engineering management team helping them understand their financials. Updating various Excel reports, managing the project funding, constant communication with the engineering team. One week per month working on the legal entity closing.

Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
Financial Reporting experience
SAP experience a plus
Month end closing experience

Four year degree required. Accounting degree preferred, but Finance degree is fine as well.

Strong oral / written communication skills
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects
