Our growing third party logistics company (3PL) seeks an Account Manager for our Fremont, CA location. Can you manage client relationships with Fortune 500 companies, facing constant change, demanding client requirements, working independently and wearing many functional hats? You will have an opportunity to have a huge impact on overall client success.


You will be joining a group of excellent, detailed orientated, and client focused team members in a fast paced challenging environment. You will be in charge of overall client relationships, helping to guide clients in decisions and direction on many programs and projects. You will be juggling all the related details, including statements of work, project plans and product/promotion launches. You will work with a wide variety of clients, in many diverse industries and provide creative, innovative solutions to highly complex client needs and business problems.


We are looking for a person with attention to detail, ability to multitask, true appreciation of excellence, self-motivation, and a strong “Can Do” attitude.


• Partner with DCL clients to be an effective account liaison to support their operational programs at DCL. Establish trust with the client by providing responsive customer service, well thought out solutions and successful executions of their programs.
• Work as part of a unit within Customer Support. Serve as the primary interdepartmental interface for resolution of customer and operational issues.
• Meet with clients frequently (sometimes independently) to establish strong relationships and discuss their business needs. Create frame work and content for Business Reviews
• Seek out new/potential business opportunities with customers.
• Make decisions on raw material procurement quantities and submit purchasing requisitions to Purchasing.


• Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Ability to move 40+ pounds
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperature is affected by weather conditions.


• Prefer BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience/background with a 3PL, supply chain management or contract manufacturing company.
• Outstanding interpersonal and service orientation skills.
• Assertiveness
• Experience presenting in front of teams and senior level management.
• ERP experience preferred.
• Logistics and or 3PL experience preferred
• Strong PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
