Account Manager Houston San Antonio TX

Adecco has partnered with a local client in their search of an Account Manager to join their team. This role will ideally sit out of Huston or San Antonio Texas area. In this role you will be responsible for selling technical solutions (memory, storage, network components) and related products and services via phone (90%) and in-person (up to 10%); manage entire sales cycle and meet weekly, quarterly and annual sales goals.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager are:

  • Sell technical solutions (memory, storage, network components) and related products and services via phone, with in-persona meetings as appropriate (10% or less)
  • Achieve annual, quarterly and monthly revenue goals; meet daily and weekly sales metrics requirements
  • Successfully execute an analytical and consultative sales process from prospecting to close; effectively own the entire sales cycle
  • Create and deliver customized client presentations based on client profile, needs and market opportunity
  • Develop and qualifying leads within territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns
  • Meet all Salesforce requirements; enter detailed notes for all client meetings and interactions and follow all company guidelines as per data entry and accuracy
  • Gather business intelligence on companies, leads and each qualified prospect to support cold calling and meeting preparation
  • Partner effectively with fulfillment; propose solutions to fulfillment issues and work diligently to salvage or re-purpose poorly performing campaigns to ensure renewals and repeat business
  • Stay abreast of trends in the market that relate to products, offerings and clients
  • Participate in sales training and work to improve skills year over year
  • Qualifications of the Account Manager are:

  • At least 3 years (plus) of applicable sales experience with results equal to or exceeding pre-established performance metrics; 6 to 10 years’ experience preferred
  • Excellent prospecting skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to meet rigorous daily, weekly and monthly sales metrics
  • Demonstrated project planning and management skills in successfully identifying the tasks and resources necessary to build, rollout and successfully execute a sales strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to create effective customized sales presentations from a library of sales collateral
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to research clients and prospects and map client need to company offerings
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong professional skills and the ability to work effectively with others
  • Demonstrated success selling memory and technical solutions and consistent overachievement of quota
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate solution business value, specifically as relates to systems performance and cost savings
  • Excellent communicator and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Capability of driving process and closing deals, effectively communicating complex issues in verbal and written communications to internal and external executives and customers
  • Experience building and growing new product sales and business.
  • Client contacts and relationships
  • Strong channel and partner sales program development experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree - Business, CS, EE or equivalent degree preferred
  • Sales experience with HP, SUN, IBM, Dell, SGI, Kingston, and / or Smart Modular; prior experience, contacts and relationships with major IT VARS and resellers.
