Job Title: Accountant 4
Shift: Mon-Fri 8-5 (Full Time)

Specific Responsibilities:

• Directs the Field Sales Accounting team, ensuring accuracy for Invoicing and inventory systems US/Canada.
• Oversees billing and crediting related to Direct Sales model (CDN).
• Ensures compliance for sales tax certification.
• Oversees accruals for Sales Policy Adjustments, Rebates, Shipped not billed, returns, pending credits, etc.
• Directs the Refinish General Ledger processing of rebate accruals
• Oversees Customer File Maintenance process, Sales-related Tandem file maintenance.
• Oversees annual field warehouse physical inventories as well as other related inventories for Color Tools and Computers. Reviews reconciliation to the ledger performed by Sales & Dist Accountant and Sales Invoicing Specialist.
• Serves as Accounting liaison for numerous Sales Transaction and Reporting systems such as: CTS (Customer Tracking System), CCS (Direct Accounts), CAP (Customer Maint app) Data Warehouse, Cognos, SDI (Order Entry/Inventory), eCredits, Fleet Rebate App, etc.
• Manages accounting process on various efficiency projects and system upgrades – E-transfers, E-Credits, Fleet Rebates,
• Addresses questions from field sales regarding sales postings and reporting.
• Provides miscellaneous Corporate reporting such as At Risk Sales, Unit Reports, as well as frequent ad-hoc reporting for Management.
• Performs research for field related to questions on Data Warehouse/Cognos.
• Responsible for maintaining Internal Controls, overseeing buying agreement credit memos, account reconciliations, and various credit memo and sample account audits.
• Performs and/or reviews account reconciliation process.
• Misc. support – Assist in DC inventories to gain business perspective and understanding, rebates, accruals, general ledger analysis, etc. at the direction of Manager, Financial Services.


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
The incumbent must possess a background in internal controls, strong problem solving and analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and organizational skills.
The position also requires solid PC skills with database (Access) and spreadsheet (Excel) applications.
Working knowledge of Oracle Financials and Tandem systems is preferred.
Effective communication and other interpersonal skills are requirements of this position.
