The incumbent is responsible for accurate and timely processing of pharmaceutical rebates by establishing and maintaining contract databases in the rebate billing system, verifying rebate eligibility by client, formulary and line of business, and by preparing rebate billing reports and invoices sent to pharmaceutical manufacturers. Establishes PC or system databases of contract information used in rebate billing process. Works with Industry Relations, Client Management, Clinical Services and assigned Pharmaceutical Manufacturers to identify accurate rebate eligibility and formulary information. Works with Accounting to identify issues related to payment and reconciliation. Evaluates pharmaceutical rebate contracts and amendments on an ongoing basis to determine need for updating rebate billing information. Analyzes competitive drug utilization data and develops recommendations based on Net Cost To Payor analysis. May be involved in the training of others on the rebate billing process and other projects.

BS / BA degree in business, finance or related field. Appropriate work experience may be acceptable.

A minimum of one year of progressively more responsible experience in finance, contractual analysis and/or data analysis with strong preference for managed care experience is preferred. However, recent graduates are also acceptable.

PC literacy with proficiency in use of spreadsheet software and data base management.

Pharmacy or pharmacy industry background is a plus but not required.

Must be detail-oriented and able to analyze financial information.
