POSITION: Accountant II

HOURS: Full-time
DURATION: 1-year

PAY: $28.00/hr.

Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details
Provides key business information and analysis to business to enable expense, headcount and volumetric targets to be achieved and maintained. Monitors general ledger entries and processing streams to ensure the reliability of general ledger information Prepares and analyzes financial performance reports. Collaborates with department leaders in the development of capital, expense and personnel plans for forecasting and budgeting. Provides expertise on how to use financial data, the application of accounting guidelines, standards, procedures and policies.

Ensures accounting practices are applied to analysis in an ethical and effective manner. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
This position would be typically described as Senior Accountant, who, on top of level 1 is, for example, responsible for posting complex accounting entries, reconciling complex accounts, etc.

Oversee project delivery within agreed budget and schedule.

  • Ensure OIMS/CIMS expectations are all followed.
  • Ensure all ExxonMobil due processes and standards are followed.
  • Provides support to project management/commercial transaction team
  • Coordinate, monitor and track all cross-charge activities to Business Units including data entry
  • Assist site GREF team with accounts payable activities
  • Set up, monitor and reconcile expense work orders with monthly status reports
  • Maintain Log of GRE Americas Suppliers Enabling Agreements
  • Maintain Receivables Tracking Log and provide coding to Curitiba
  • Reconcile Bank Statements
  • Maintain Data Scan results
  • Stewardship of real estate and other taxes
  • Distribute monthly budget reports, received from BAR
  • Project file reviews
  • Records management assistance
  • Process lease/vendor checks
  • Perform CIMS control catalog testing and updates
  • Assist Controls and Business Advisor with data collection and presentation development

Skills and Qualifications
GAAP, analytical skills, accounting experience, MS Excel, financial systems
