Adecco is assisting a local medical practice in recruiting for a detail-oriented Accountant in Wilmington, NC. This is for a temporary-to-hire or direct hire opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all areas related to financial reporting and accounting functions. You are expected to take initiative in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to accurately report and forecast the financial health of the company. Responsibilities for this Accountant job include:

• Manages the day to day, monthly, quarterly and annual activities for the finance and accounting department.
• Maintains accurate records to reflect the financial condition of the corporation's cash management and reconciliations. Provides all financial reporting to management including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements.
• Responsible for developing and documenting accounting processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Accountable for reviewing, analyzing and posting monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries to general ledger.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the company's General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
• Reviews and monitors month-end reporting, schedules, expense and revenue accounts accuracy and completion.
• Oversees the opening and closing balances of ledger accounts.
• Provides general financial reporting support for the Controller and CFO.
• Assists the finance and accounting team in preparing balance sheet and budget reporting.
• Works with Controller and CFO with the preparation of the quarterly and annual SEC filings.
• Reviews bi-weekly and monthly payroll journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinates audit over internal controls include finance.
• Ability to multi-task several high-level projects at same time.


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• At least five years’ accounting work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Experience with Navision preferred
• Compensation based on experience
