Accounting Assistant

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a current Accounting Assistant job in DurhamThis is for a long-term tem to hire opportunity.  As an Accounting Clerk you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep office financial records complete. You may also perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.  Accounting Clerks will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other associates.  If you meet the qualifications listed below please Apply Now!


Responsibilities for this Accounting Clerk job include:


- Process and reconcile invoices, auditing purchase orders for accuracy and disbursing

   payments in a timely manner

- Check daily totals against credit card batch reports, reconciling monthly

- Obtain all EOD sheets from locations and update sales sheets accordingly

- Organize and file all paid bills and invoices

- Ensure accurate weekly and daily posting of store sales from POS to Quickbooks

- Record daily sales, maintaining spreadsheets and systems to track sales

- Reconcile cash daily for all ILILI Hospitality locations, preparing deposits

- Prepare, review, and mail payments

- Verify pricing consistency on vendor invoices, troubleshooting when necessary

- Provide support to the Manager as needed

- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information




  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a managerial office setting
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks, Excel and MS Office
  • Restaurant Experience is a plus


Pay for this position is $15.00/hr plus overtime as needed.
