Accounting Associate

Adecco is recruiting for an experienced Accounting Associate to support a busy and growing company in Greater Portland.

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for directly supporting the Finance Director, as well other departments, finance employees and auditors.

This position will have a number of bookkeeping and clerical tasks, including:

  • Accounts payable
  • Preparing accounting reports and verifying for accuracy
  • Reconciling, etc.
  • Managing various accounts
  • Resolving outstanding payments through communication with departments, vendors, and clients;
  • Process, record, and pay invoices, bills, and other transactions.

An Ideal candidate MUST have experience with:

  • G/L
  • Debits and Credits
  • Processing Biweekly Payroll.

Candidates for this Accounting Associate role MUST also be a willing and able team member – ready to help as needed in other areas for this small office team; such as, providing back up assistance for phone coverage and inquiries, emails, and client visitors!

Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.

Previous experience is REQUIRED at least 5 years or more recent experience in accounting.

Required Skills Include:

Very Strong Excel user, Outlook as well as various Accounting Software programs.
