Accounting Clerk Assistant

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for an Accounting Assistant in Wausau, WI. As an Accounting Clerk you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep office financial records complete. You may also perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.  Accounting Clerks will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other associates.  If you meet the qualifications listed below please Apply Now!


Responsibilities for this Accounting Assistant job include:

  • Posting cash receipts
  • Account reconciliations
  • A/P processing
  • Assembling bank deposits and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Handling daily mail and miscellaneous clerical



  • High School or post high school courses or comparable work experience
  • General ledger experience, Solomon helpful
  • Working knowledge of Access, Excel and Word
  • Able to set priorities and establish an efficient, well-organized work area
  • Must work accurately and effectively to meet necessary deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively with others and with minimal supervision


This is a first shift position working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm at a pay rate of $12.00/hour.
