Accounting Clerk

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk in the Galleria Area. This is for a temp opportunity with the potential to hire, that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career.


As an Accounting Clerk you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep office financial records complete. Accounting Clerk will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other associates. Key Responsibilities/ Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Ensure all accounts payable invoices have proper approval or approved purchase order(s)
  • Obtain proper approval as necessary
  • Code invoices to proper general ledger accounts and departments
  • Data entry of vendor invoices
  • Properly obtain all IRS Form W9 for all new vendors and set-up in Famous
  • Prepare / Assist with weekly check run
  • Maintain organized filing system for all accounts payable documents by vendor name


  • Minimum 1+ year of Accounting experience
  • Prior experience performing systematic reconciliations


  • Able to work independently with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Able to multi-task while maintaining an efficiently organized work process
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Good written and verbal communication skills


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
