Accounting Manager

Adecco is partnering with a GLOBAL Plastic Manufacturing company that is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. This is a Direct Hire Job located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records all company transactions. Reviews entries to the general ledger to assure accuracy and compliance with the company's and established accounting principles. Controls all changes to the chart of accounts. Performs monthly and fiscal year closing of the general ledger including the preparation of journal entries.
Administers preparation of monthly, year-end comparative reports; performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and/or budget. Prepares required government reports as directed by the CEO and responds to inquiries as necessary.
Selects AP invoices and check requests to be paid on a weekly basis, taking advantage of all term discounts when possible.
Prepares three-month cash inflow/outflow projections monthly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in construction accounting strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to read and interpret simple instructions, short and simple correspondence and memo. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the company. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Proficient computer knowledge and experience especially in MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of Manufacturing Accounting software is helpful.
Able to meet critical deadlines.
Must be a "team player", able to work well with fellow employees.
