Accounting / Senior Finance Director – Manhattan, NY
6 months
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Specific Duties

This role manages value assurance within the GTO Governance & Enterprise Program Management group

Value Assurance reduces the risk of delivering promised program outcomes by identifying areas for increased management rigor

This role performs value assurance workshops and assessments, at critical times in the life of top enterprise programs, by engaging with our clients

Operates as an internal consultant directing the work of all levels of program management teams to provide guidance at program intake and during a risk-based engagement

Works together with the program and control teams to ensure the ultimate success of an initiative. Interfaces with all areas affected by the program including all key stakeholders and vendors, communicates with senior management regarding recommendations

Engages teams at program initiation and during a value assurance engagement

Ensures programs are organized to achieve minimum viable product with clear governance and attainable benefits

Engages program stakeholders to ensure continued alignment with program objectives and known success factors

Nudges adoption of recommendations through direct action or escalation when necessary

Improves team performance by building team cohesiveness

Leverages industry expertise to develop and implement value assurance recommendations

Tracks value of recommendations as they contribute to benefits delivery

Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Consulting/support to at-risk projects: concrete experience in project recovery (essential)

Project health evaluations: validation of risk status (essential)

10+ years broad experience in Consulting, Auditing, Change or Engagement Management with 8-10 years’ project and program management experience

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, understands what it takes to deliver large-scale solutions

Excellence in presentations and coaching

Excellent interpersonal and analytical abilities.

Preferred experience:

Experience/familiarity with insurance products and business

Familiarity with shared service models

Adept at leading and motivating distributed, global teams

Agile/Lean experience
