General Statement of Duties

This position is primarily responsible for one of the following areas:

  • Reconciliation of driver routes
  • Accounts Payable

Other areas of focus are inventory reconciliation, data entry, filing, accounts receivable support as well as performing various other accounting functions and reporting as needed. The position is accounting / administrative and functions under the direct supervision of the Controller and accounting management team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary function of an employee in this class is to monitor and reconcile cash, account for bonded inventory, database management, daily deposits, accounts payable and posting sales in accordance to established procedures. Other primary responsibilities include assisting in other areas of accounting processes as necessary and as illustrated below:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Accounting functions including but not limited to:

  • Accounts payable and receivables
  • Inventory Management – reconciling and balancing transfers and variances
  • Daily deposit
  • Verifying and balancing Branch electronic driver reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of paper invoice routes as required from the Branches
  • Verifying deposits made by the employees in various Branches by agreeing to the bank deposit reports
  • Balancing the monthly cell phone bill
  • Maintaining the bonded inventory schedules
  • Outstanding invoice list
  • Running the daily register which is “our closing the day procedure”
  • Tracking beer draft equipment
  • Filing the daily sales paperwork (invoices, PDA reports), AP filing, miscellaneous filing
  • Sending ACH, Fintech, Red Bull, Young’s downloads as required
  • Posting accounts receivable as required
  • Posting the daily sales as generated by register
  • Performs other special projects as assigned
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Accounting experience
  • Intermediate MS Excel ability, specifically with knowledge of lookup and reference functions as well as pivot tables, ability to create spreadsheets, work with formulas.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to independently gather information from various sources, analyze data, and prepare what if reports to present to management
  • Have a working understanding of accounting terms and functions i.e. (accruals, expenses, capitalization)
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully work and communicate as a team member as well as independently to solve problems and respond to issues

 

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone;
  • Sufficient visual and mental acuity, which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions, and make determination of necessary actions to take to meet the presentation standards for the facility; 
  • Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate standard office equipment;
  • Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, and to work in an office environment and requires sitting for long periods of time.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

  • Primarily work performed indoors, subject to temperature control of the building;
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
