Accounting Team Leader – Plano, TX
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Position Summary:

Project to replace our ERP system. The project has three major work streams, Record to Report, Fixed Assets & A/R, and Procure to Pay. We received two permanent HC to lead the first two work streams, which require knowledge of existing TFS people, processes and systems. We are working to hire those roles from internal candidates. Currently, this functionality is largely provided through a shared service agreement with TMNA. To assist us on the project we need a Hyperion Business Lead. This role was included in the project budget and funding has been approved.

The R!SE ERP project is a multi-year project focused on replacing our PeopleSoft application with SAP. The current ERP system is 20 years old, and TMNA has decided to replace it, requiring TFS to also develop and implement a new ERP solution to meet TFS’ financial accounting and reporting requirements. The project will focus on General Ledger/Chart of Accounts, Accounts Payable and Procurement, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Downstream Systems. The project will also coordinate activities with other departments such as BTS, BI, VMO and Treasury. Once the project is completed, the resources will become key team members for the associated functional areas, advocating for the system, training others in their area and becoming an expert in the ERP system.

These roles require strategic and forward thinking individuals who understand the implications of the project on the Accounting & Tax systems, processes, and people. Ideal candidates should be knowledgeable of our current accounting systems, processes, and teams. This Team Leader will be the key business /accounting resource focused on understanding the SAP ERP system, researching and assessing business decisions to be made as design and build, understanding the downstream HEPM reporting system (dimensions, accounts structure, etc.) and how the two systems work together to support the Accounting & Tax business requirements. In this role you will be part of a team dedicated to the design, development and delivery of the strategy and processes during the SAP implementation. This includes the accountability for the end-to-end workflow processes, planning, and delivery relating to their specific area. In addition, the resource will be responsible for managing their teams (consultants & vendors) while simultaneously working closely with the system integrator and other cross divisional teams such as BI, BTS, etc., ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions.

This project provides an excellent opportunity for expanding your knowledge of our accounting & tax processes and systems, further developing your management skills, problem solving and leadership skill sets, and learning more about TMCC’s business. These roles will have significant exposure and visibility to senior management as this is a high profile project marked as a key priority for TFS.

Must Haves:
Education: Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) Business degree in Accounting/Finance

Experience & Subject Matter Expertise:
10+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)

Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
Licenses or Certifications:
CPA/CFA with current accounting experience is a key requirement
An understanding of projects and project management are preferred
