Temporary 6 month assignment

Position Summary: The AP Clerk is responsible to enter invoices accurately, on time. In order to achieve this, the AP Clerk works with AP supervisor to understand and receive direction on daily workload and tasks.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Opens and distributes mail Matches invoice, purchase order and receipt, resolves discrepancies with business partners and/or vendors

Verifies invoice information to company and government requirements

Data entry or uploads execution of invoices

Reviews Travel & Expense Reports

Files keyed invoices

Stuffs and mails checks/EFT notifications

Accepts telephone inquiries from vendors

Reviews invoices periodically for company and government compliance

Promotes and monitors compliance with Trade and Non Trade procurement policies and processes

Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Knowledge of accounting principles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Initiative - the ability to identify what needs to be done and ensure it is completed energetically

Analytical Skills - the ability to identify issues and work to resolve them

Experience with Oracle and SOX are a plus

Sales and Use Tax experience a plus

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

0-2 years of experience in an AP role

Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Primarily office environment spent in front of a computer screen (entering and looking up data)

Workspace requires employee to be on the phone at least 90% of the day making and receiving calls Regularly required to sit Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
