POSITION: Accounts Payable
LOCATION: Pineville, NC
DURATION: 6 months
Pay Rate: $20/hour

Job Requirements:




Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related curriculum from an accredited university is preferred. Job requires 5+ years of accounts payable experience with manufacturing company.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
The ability to communicate and problem solve with outside vendors and internal departments.


Job Description:

Audit invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies and approves for payment
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Investigate problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills
Prepare and processes weekly check runs
Ensure the Received Goods Not Invoiced report is reconciled on a monthly basis
Audit and process credit card bills
Verify the accuracy of outstanding checks at the end of each month
File vendor invoices and payment vouchers
Process all freight charges
Initiate all wire transfer requests
Respond to all vendors inquires
Review and processing of miscellaneous invoices and expense reports, ensuring authorization compliance with company policies and levels of approval authority
Enter invoices in the accounts payable system
Schedule invoices for weekly payment
Process weekly accounts payable files for payment by corporate office by check, ACH or wire transfer
Reconciliation of non-vouchered PO receipts & corporate payments
Resolve invoice discrepancies
Work closely with Purchasing Department and various managers on AP issues
Vendor file maintenance
Correspond with vendors and respond to vendor inquiries
Assist with month end closing
Provide back-up as needed for other Accounting personnel
