Accounts Receivable Supervisor

POSITION: Accounts Receivable Supervisor


DURATION: 6 months

PAY RATE: $23.52 p/hr

HOURS: 12:00PM – 9:00PM


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 6-12 direct reports in Accounts Receivable/ Cash Application
  • Oversee the shared service activities related to Accounts Receivable utilizing the Oracle platform
  • Responsible for successful payment application of $1B+ weekly receivables
  • Supervise central depository accounts, including daily reconciliations
  • Supervise centralized arbitration processing for all G2G enhanced locations, with anticipated monthly volume of 22,000
  • Oversee Auction Location’s floor plan payment reversal of $26M monthly
  • Generate and send out invoices per specific requirements for various business units
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to billing/invoicing discrepancies timely and accurately with excellent communication to internal/ external customers
  • Process and coordinate any adjustments related to invoicing/ billing disputes
  • Manage all billing, collection and reporting activities various business units related to Accounts Receivable
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Research and resolve aged and disputed Accounts Receivable
  • Review Accounts Receivable registers and reports to confirm accuracy of financial records
  • Manage and serve as backup for all Accounts Receivable work queues
  • Manage month end closing processes for Inventory Solutions Accounts Receivable AR Module
  • Provide appropriate training, support and resources to ensure team can perform job functions
  • Identify, implement and supervise best practices for the Accounts Receivable function
  • Develop, track and report metrics on team performance
  • Work closely with other business units to ensure their Accounts Receivable needs are being met
  • Work closely with other managers and leadership within the Accounts Receivable department and FSSC to ensure proper alignment with FSSC goals and strategies
  • Provide effective leadership for staff including utilization of performance management to ensure results and to develop team members for future growth
  • Perform special projects as required by Sr Manager of Accounts Receivable



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting preferred and/or years of experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • 6+ years’ experience and understanding of auction industry, finance and/or cash application
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a team environment, with acting as a Team Lead and/or managerial experience
  • Proven track record in processing high volume, tight deadlines and improve efficiencies based on targeted metrics
  • Microsoft Office, AS400 and Oracle Accounts Receivable (11i or 12R) strongly preferred
  • Customer service, fast paced environment and ability to work with multiple levels of Senior Management
