Admin Assistant - Intermediate

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Admin Assistant - Intermediate position, in Eden Prairie, MN! This is a long term opportunity for the right person. This person will work on a team that is a Shared Services team. This team supports letter creation and sending of mail for many areas within Optum. The primary responsibility of this person will be work within our folding room, which requires a high attention to detail. If letters get sent out incorrectly, we have a breach of PHI. This team is a very high performing team, the work they receive is very high in volume. They are very diligent in assuring that this work is processed in a timely fashion and in some instances around compliance timelines. This person will also be working with return mail from the large mailings our network development team sends out, this will require working within Excel, locating the provider, noting the item is returned and why. Communication will need to go back to the requestor letting them know the provider cannot be found. Excel and Outlook will be a must have for this position.

Specific Duties:
1. Assist in running of folding room, which includes prepping mailings to run through our folding machine or hand stuff those that are too large. Very large volume.
2 Assist in mailings of EOBs that are received on a weekly basis Very large volume
3. Work return mail from large mailings that are sent out
4. Other administrative duties as assigned

Must have qualifications/experience:
1. Attention to detail due to large amounts of PHI contained within our documents
2. Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel, along with Outlook
3. Depending on candidate, possible work with SharePoint, but not a necessity

A nice to have would be the ability to work within a SharePoint, to help with the creation of some of the letters, which will also require knowledge around working with Word and Excel to merge addresses into template letters.

Performance will be measured with turn around time getting our correspondence out timely and/or mailings being sent by the requested due date.



This job does not require any outreach to providers or members, but might require outreach to internal Optum employees for clarification of work.

Shift Start/End Time: 8:00-4:30 with some flexibility

Dress Code: Business Casual, Jeans on Friday
