Administrative Assistant

Adecco is hiring on behalf of Gerber Life for an Administrative Assistant.  Our Administrative Assistant will evaluate claim information within the compliance requirements.  This position will begin as a work at home position over time transitioning into the office.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, investigate, and authorize payment of life insurance claims.
  • Evaluate claim information and decide appropriate course of action to properly assess, clarify, and appraise the claim.
  • May communicate directly with policyholders, beneficiaries, hospitals, doctors, attorneys, and other internal and external areas.  Contacts involve planning and preparation of the communications, require skills, tact, persuasion and negotiation to reach resolution.
  • Provide guidance regarding general claim policy
  • Requirements and Skills:

  • Must have high speed internet access (satellite internet not accepted)
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively, especially in written form – ability to prepare correspondence
  • Competent with organization, prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Change agent and have proven track record for delivering results
  • Motivated with the flexibility necessary to operate in a fast growing and fast paced environment
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong PC Skills
  • Must be able to commute to Fremont, Mi
