Title:Cancer Center Patient Registration

Specific Duties:
1.Greet patients
2.Gather/verify patient demographics
3.Verify Insurance benefits
4.Obtain signatures on required forms
5.Collect co-pays and patient out of pocket portion due

Must have qualifications/experience:
1. High School Diploma/GED or higher
2.1+ years of Health Care experience within Patient Registration, Medical related call center, Hospital or Physician Office
3.1+ years of professional experience with Medical Insurance policies and procedures
4. Previous experience working with Microsoft office including outlook
5.Availability to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am and 5pm

Shift Start/End Time:
Availability to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am and 5pm M-F

Dress Code:
Business casual - Dark slacks preferred, closed toe shoes required

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of secretarial support duties in a manner which will ensure the proper functioning of the business unit and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the department. The position works under the specific instruction and direction of one or more higher level staff and may provide administrative support to an individual office. Incumbents are regularly responsible for dealing professionally with confidential information while performing several aspects of assigned work. Specific tasks may be answering phones, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, producing correspondence, spreadsheets and presentation and otherwise relieving those supported of minor administrative tasks and business deals. Works under general supervision.
