POSITION: Administrative Assistant

LOCATION: Plainfield, IN

DURATION: 6 months (Contract)

HOURS: Full Time, 8:00am-5:00pm

 

Essential Functions:

The Administrative Assistant role provides high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

  • Handling orders for residential equipment
  • Routing orders to trucking company
  • Shipping confirmations of orders
  • Answering the phones – Customer Service Department and Sales Department
  • Heavy computer work
  • Printing Labels

 

Must Have:

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-year minimum experience in an office

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential
  • Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Must be driven, highly motivated, and willing to learn
  • Must be able to work in a high paced environment
  • **Oracle knowledge is a huge plus**
