Administrative Assistant

Adecco is now recruiting for an enthusiastic professional to join a top Engineering/Architectural firm in Roanoke County.

This position is the first impression the client receives when arriving at the office. This position greets and directs the foot traffic in the office. Under the direct supervision of the accountant, this position provides clerical support to the professionals in the office as well as other duties.


  • Answers the telephone and routes caller to appropriate destination.
  • Greets visitors, determines nature of business, and directs visitors to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provides clerical support for various correspondence, reports and other documents.
  • Collects and distributes fax transmissions and messages.
  • Coordinates meetings and conferences.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and monitors and prepares overnight shipments.
  • Maintains schedules of department heads and other personnel within the office.
  • Special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Ability to write correspondence.

Ability to present information in a one-on-one and small group situation.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Intermediate computer knowledge. Proficient with Microsoft suite.


Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.

May frequently need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
